After years of living abroad, a homecoming trip to Colombia ignited a powerful desire within my brother and me: to create a space where the vibrant talent of Colombian youth and artists could flourish. Our initial dream was a physical hub for workshops, but the path took an unexpected turn.

A setback became a catalyst. I embarked on a journey deep into Colombia's marginalized communities, connecting with local leaders and listening to the real needs of the people. This eye-opening experience reshaped our vision.

While our passion for empowering youth remained unwavering, we recognized the broader challenges facing these communities. AfroMusikas evolved, expanding beyond artistic promotion to address fundamental needs. We formed dedicated working groups, committed to providing tangible support and fostering sustainable change. Our history is one of listening, adapting, and relentlessly pursuing a brighter future for Colombia's artists and communities.
